I have a 30" Apple Cinema display hooked up to my MBP via this cable. Overall, it seems to be high quality and I haven't had any major issues with this product yet. I think this is a good alternative to the Apple adapter (which I saw many negative reviews for).

I had been trying to set up a 4K display using these adapters and found, after some research, that this particular model is -not- one of the adapters listed as officially supported by AMD for use with Eyefinity. I could never get it to stitch together properly with two displays at 1920x2160 with a goal resolution of 3840x2160. You may find the list of validated adapters here: [...]

Considering all the reviews(3) read like they were written in Startech's marketing department, I was a little hesitant to purchase this item. After receiving and installing, it seemed everything was great. Then I started getting errors about the link. Finally it stopped working all together. I had to go back to my $10.00 passive link. This doesn't dissuade from Startech at all. All electronics' will have bad batches. It's how the company handles the RMA process that matters more. I've initiated this process now and will update this review with my findings.

Setting up eyefinity? Doing 60 or 120hz triple monitor gaming? THIS is the one that works and supports that. I know, it's not an approved vender from the AMD web site but it just works-unlike another "approved" adaptors and seems like a quality product with longer cables on it for easier moving the pc around to boot. No crashing, no tearing, flashing, going blank AT ALL during gaming. EVEN at 120hz. Does not "auto change" or force you to go from 120hz to 60hz like Accell does. Don't waste your time with others (i.e. Accell). I use 3 dual link cables, 2 of these adaptors and the native DVI output on the card. Easy. AMD 6990 12.1 drivers (for now) and 3 AW2310 alienware monitors.
