Product Description
Compatible with GSM/TDMA Cellular/PCS Carriers and GSM, TDMA, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA technologies only, for example: Cingular, T-Mobile. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CDMA, FOR EXAMPLE: VERIZON, SPRINT, ALLTEL, US CELLULAR, MIDWEST WIRELESS OR IDEN: NEXTEL, SOUTHERN LINC
This product is only compatible with GSM/TDMA carriers and phones. Detailed Description Compatible with all US GSM/TDMA Service Providers (for example, Cingular, T-Mobile) and GSM, TDMA, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA technologies only, not compatible with CDMA (Verizon, Sprint PCS, Alltel, US Cellular, Midwest Wireless, etc) or iDEN (Nextel/Southern LINC/Mike). CDMA users should use the 811201 inline amplifier. What is the difference between the 812201 and 811201? The 811201 dual-band inline amplifier contains additional electronics required for proper signal power management that is required for CDMA technology but not for GSM/TDMA/GRPS/EDGE/HSDPA technology. The 812201 dual-band inline amplifier does not contain the additional electronics and is therefore less expensive (but not compatible with CDMA).
Features: Maximum 3 Watts Output Power on 800MHz Maximum 2 Watts Output Power on 1900MHz Compatible with GSM/TDMA Carriers and technology NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CDMA or iDEN Power Control Logic ensures Maximum Output Power is within Cellular Standards Automatic Gain Control Can be Used in a Fixed or Mobile Application FCC Type Accepted
Key Notes:
Must be connected directly to phone with Wilson Cellular phone adapter cable (not included.) Requires Wilson Cellular antenna (not included) May be connected to car kit with appropriate adapter The Direct Connect (inline) Bi-directional Amplifier improves RF coverage in areas with no signal or low signal strength. The unit amplifies both 800MHz and 1900MHz cellular and PCS signals providing up to 3 Watts of output power on the 800MHz band and 2 Watts of output power on the 1900MHz (PCS) Band. Increases your phone's coverage up to 50 miles or more (under ideal conditions.) Compatible with all US GSM/TDMA Service Providers (for example, Cingular, T-Mobile), not compatible with CDMA (Verizon, Sprint PCS, Alltel, US Cellular, Midwest Wireless, etc) or iDEN (Nextel/Southern LINC/Mike). CDMA users should use the 811201 inline amplifier.
How the unit functions:
The 800MHz and 1900MHz cellular signal from the cell site is received by the Wilson Cellular antenna (sold separately). The signal is then amplified and transmitted to your phone through the Wilson Cellular phone adapter cable (sold separately). When the phone transmits, the signal is sent to the amplifier through the adapter and then amplified and sent to the cell site through the outside antenna.
Compatible with:
All US GSM/TDMA Cellular/PCS carriers. Not compatible with CDMA carriers (use 811201 dual-band inline amplifier) or iDEN carriers such as Nextel, SouthernLinc, Mike (Canada). iDEN users should use the 3 Watt Direct Connection Amplifier for Nextel/iDEN.
Ideal for use with car kits requiring an external antenna. Adapter may be required to connect to your particular car kit.
Includes:
812201 Bi-Directional Dual-Band (800MHz/1900MHz) Amplifier 6' Adapter Extension Cable 12V DC Power Adapter (Car Charger) Requires (not included):
External Antenna with FME Female connection (Wilson Cellular Antenna) Phone Specific Antenna Adapter with FME Male connection to connect directly to your phone. With appropriate adapter may be connected to most full install car kits which support an external antenna.
