First; let me be clear that the headset I received differs from the one pictured above. [Edited] I have added pictures to this product to clarify this change.[/Edit] Unsure whether this is an upgrade from this version or if the picture is just old, etc, so please keep this in mind while buying this. This is written after about a month of use.As far as I can tell, the headphones work well, if not great; loud, responsive. It has two joints for the earphones but none at the rear. The headphones twist sideways and fold into each other, so that the wire can be wrapped around them, making a nice compact package that is just about smartphone size but maybe twice as thick. The headphones are comfortable and dont pinch the ears, ao you can just about lie on your side using a comfortable enough pillow with no problem. The microphone as headset standards go, is very good. It is by no means professional as it picks up some noise and has no foam covering, but the voice comes through very clearly for conversation. The detached microphone is but a small wire and is connected via a plug (a 2.5mm audio jack) that inserts into the left headphone, flexible in all directions. The microphone is supposed to also be standalone but it seems too small for anything else which will likely use a regular 3.5mm jack. When removed, the headphones just look like headphones which is nice. This headset has two additional functions on a attachment about chest-height on the wire from the headset. One is volume control, the other is a reserve PTT button which mutes the microphone while held down. Both of them work as intended. As you can tell, Im very happy with this purchase, the headphones seem durable, the microphone is both detachable and better quality than I assumed it could be, and it has foldable, mute and volume control features. It maybe a bit high compared to other headsets but is well worth the price for the additional features it brings.
